Your Ceremonies
Two ceremonies, one way of working
Whether you're marrying or welcoming a new person into the family, the approach is the same: I listen properly, write it in your voice, and make the day all about you.
Wedding Ceremonies
An Essex wedding celebrant for the ceremony you actually want
As an independent celebrant in Essex, I'm not restricted by a register office script or a single venue's house style. That means:
- Any venue, indoors or out — garden, barn, beach, anywhere
- Any structure — traditional, unconventional, or somewhere in between
- Same-sex weddings, with exactly the same warmth and attention as any other
- Mixed-faith, multicultural and multilingual ceremonies
- Children, pets and family members woven in wherever you'd like them
- Your own vows, readings or rituals — or help writing them if you're stuck
Because the legal registration happens separately (more on that on the FAQs page), the ceremony I lead has no fixed script to follow — which is exactly what lets it sound like you.
Good for couples who want:
- A ceremony that reflects their actual relationship, not a template
- Guests to laugh, not just dab their eyes or nod off
- Inclusive language and structure, whatever their family looks like
- Ceremonies delivered multilingually for mixed-language families
A naming ceremony can include:
- Guide parents or mentors, chosen by you (not restricted to godparents in the religious sense)
- Siblings taking part, promises, or a symbolic ritual
- Grandparents, wider family or close friends with a speaking role
- English, or multilingual delivery for international families
Naming Ceremonies
A naming ceremony in Essex, written around your family
A naming ceremony welcomes a child (or children) into the family and community, without requiring any particular faith or belief. It's entirely shaped by you — from who stands up and says what, to whether there's a ritual involved, such as planting a tree, a symbolic gift, or choosing guideparents.
These tend to be more relaxed than weddings in tone, but no less carefully written — I still spend real time with you beforehand to get the details, and the people, right.
