Choosing Alison to lead our wedding ceremony was one of the best decisions we made. She took the time to really get to know us as a couple — not just the basic facts, but how we met, what makes us laugh, and what our relationship is like day to day. The ceremony didn’t feel like a template with our names dropped in, it felt like us.

On the day, she struck exactly the right balance: warm, funny, and engaging, while never losing the emotional heart of what we were there to do. I’ve been a guest at two weddings where Alison was the celebrant. The ceremonies were different, but I noticed the same thing both times: each ceremony was clearly about that couple. Personal stories and jokes that didn’t sound like a generic script with names awkwardly dropped in.

Alison was relaxed and well prepared on the day; she arrived early, put a nervous groom at ease and coached the Best Man through the ceremony! Even with dogs and kids involved, there was no hint of chaos, and everyone could hear and enjoy the ceremony that she delivered beautifully. If you want a celebrant who will write something really personal and deliver it perfectly, I’d recommend Alison.
